Tracking Training

Winston had another tracking training lesson this morning. Mark went ahead and laid a "track" with his scent and some treats along the" track." At the end of the "track" is Winston's red soft ball and a treat plus lots of praise. After Mark lays the "track," Winston is placed in his working harness and asked to "find it! "

When Mark is out laying the "track" Winston waits inside with me and he get super excited. He knows when we leave with that harness he will be "working" which equals "fun" to him!

Here Winston starts to "track!" It was so cool to see him finding the scent and working the "track!"

Hot on the scent of the "track" Winston finds a treat along the way. 

Winston makes it to the end of the "track" and gets a reward and praise. He found it!!

We are very happy with his progress so far!  He loves it! 

Winston took a break in the flower garden. There are lots of critters to chase in there. 

Carly shows Winston the ropes in the flower garden. She has a lot of bug chasing experience from last year.
